Rich Jones
Rich Jones
Rich Jones is a prolific soul/hip-hop artist that’s positioned himself for a great 2017. A veteran of the Chicago hip-hop scene, Rich took his time to refine his craft and expand his range to become a dynamic and versatile artist capable of creating great songs across multiple genres.

In 2015, Rich released Pigeons & Waffles, a project that took 3 years to create and features Chicago favorites Defcee and Supa Bwe, among others. Rich then pivoted, trying his hand at pop music with Las Vegas based producer Ryan Lofty. Their song, “Universe + Me” was well received, reaching over 100,000 plays across all platforms and recently receiving placement on the season finale of MTV’s Real World. Rich hit the ground running in 2016, releasing Pink Slips, a project chronicling the years of hustle after Rich was fired from his job and was forced to make some decisions about how his life would go. The album features artists like Taylor Bennett, The O’My’s, Nether- friends, and more.

The future looks bright for Jones, as he has a full-length project with Ryan Lofty in the works that has a big, eclectic sound and is sure to make waves. Recently featured as an “artist to watch in 2016” by Chicago Reader and Do312, Rich is getting attention and is looking to capitalize. Rich was also voted runner up to Chance The Rapper in the 2016 Chicago Reader reader’s poll as best hip-hop artist in Chicago. Rich’s latest single, ‘Everything,’ was premiered in RedEye Chicago and is another Ryan Lofty produced record that is beautiful, poignant and represents a commanding move for Rich into the world of indie-pop. Although Rich has been making music for five years, his story is only just beginning.
